water and climate change

Client: Asian Development Bank

Despite immense economic and social progress over the last few decades, more than 75% of the Asian region faces water insecurity. Underlying this is a series of interconnected pressures, including population growth, urbanization, increasing water pollution, and the excessive extraction of groundwater. Providing more food, energy, clean drinking water and access to sanitation without compromising the environment is even more challenging against the backdrop of climate change and associated risk of water-related disasters.
